Angelica Tavella is an Italian-American composer, sound artist, and designer of collaborative experiences.
After moving from northern Italy to the San Francisco Bay Area as a child, she spent her time composing music and experimenting with sound. At 17, she enrolled at the University of California, Berkeley, where she studied copyright law and digital technology. During her studies, she created the quarterly music crawl Oakland Drops Beats, and co-founded OIM Records.
Since relocating to Los Angeles in 2014, Tavella has focused on building tools for music-making, composing, touring and releasing records with the band TV Heads, and under her own moniker, Tavella. She currently organizes North American events for the music technology company Ableton.
